German media mocks Greece

Imagine if you will, Ann Coulter as the editorial page editor of the New York Times. It has not come to that yet but the German media has had its fill of  Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and his moral outrage now that he has maxed out his credit card. Greece has been trending downward since 300 B.C. and now seems poised to bottom out despite the protestations from Tsipra that Germany and the EU have not done enough for the cradle of democracy.

The image reads  “Hand over the money or I’ll shoot.” and it plays well to popular sentiment. Sixty-eight percent of 1,001 people surveyed in an ARD-DeutschlandTrend poll held the Greek government responsible, while 4 percent blamed the European Union. Both sides are to blame, according to 24 percent of those surveyed.
