It was only a minor skirmish as far as congressional turf wars go but it underlines the difficulties of Trey Gowdy's job a
Chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi. Gowdy has gone to great pains to be even handed in his treatment of partisans, a tricky proposition in a House of inflated egos. When Gowdy's former chairman on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Darrell Issa crashed Sidney Blumenthal’s deposition Gowdy promptly ushered him out. The two exchanged hushed and probably heated words outside the hearing room before Issa stormed off. You may view a brief video of the dust up
here.
Republicans need to get it together. This is an embarrassment.
