Rand Paul leads GOP field in CNN/ORC poll

Rand Paul has taken the lead among GOP hopefuls in the latest CNN/ORC poll. He is favored by 16% of respondents while 15% choose Paul Ryan and 11% prefer Rick Perry. Jersey Shore favorite Chris Christie has fallen all the way to 8%. Jeb Bush is at 9%, with Ted Cruz at 8%. The sample includes 367 Republicans and independents who lean toward the GOP and 372 Democrats and independents who lean toward the Democratic Party. I would prefer to see a poll of likely Republican voters.
