As the man said, You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
A.J. Spiker, the Chairman
of the Iowa
Republican Party has resigned. He will go to work for Sen. Rand Paul's RAND PAC. This may be regarded as a victory by the RINO wing of the Iowa GOP but for Spiker it's more like a home coming. He was a leader in Ron Paul's campaign in 2012.
Governor Terry Branstad recently orchestrated a campaign to get more RINO Republicans to turn out to county conventions Saturday, and the majority of delegates elected to the influential state convention were Branstad-aligned, diminishing the impact of the Tea Party. No matter. One doubts if Iowa caucus goers will be enthralled with governors who block traffic or advocate for Common Core which will not redound to Christie or Bush's advantage while Huckabee and Santorum compete for the religiously conservative's vote. More.
