Ohio creates charter school dedicated to oil and gas drilling

This should make heads explode in the anti-fracking movement. Columbiana County, Ohio, ground zero for the the Utica Shale energy boom, is so enthralled with oil and gas extraction it intends to teach it in school. The Southern Local Board of Education in Salineville has established  a charter school, Utica Shale Academy of Ohio and will begin open enrollment for grades 9 through 12.
The Steubenville Herald Star reports that most of the studies will be through online modules but teachers also will be onsite at the community school to provide guided instruction in conjunction with the students' online learning.
This is stunning! An online charter school devoted to practical knowledge! I hope they have a rifle team.
