I seldom write about climate change because to do so authoritatively requires conquering a compendium of terms and acronyms. To write an advanced post requires some expertise in statistical analysis, physics, and perhaps
paleoclimatolog. As most readers know Australia, under Prime Minister Julia Gillard enacted the mother of all carbon taxes. Gillard and her party have now been dumped by an outraged citizenry that felt her government thought they existed for the sole purpose of paying taxes to a feckless government. There is this irony. If carbon taxes are high enough to be effective they will be unaffordable. If they are low enough to be affordable they will be ineffective. Now from Australia comes the 50 to 1 project. In commonsensical prose using only only eight grade arithmetic the lecturer demonstrates the folly of preventing climate change as opposed to adapting to it as it occurs.
