Cotton will announce his Senate bid in Arkansas next week, challenging incumbent Democrat Mark Pryor in a state that is considered a top pickup opportunity for Republicans. The freshman congressman from Arkansas' fourth congressional district is something of a rock star among Arkansas Tea Party supporters. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, earned a law degree from Harvard Law School then joined the army in 2005. He is no sissy. He completed Army Airborne School as well as Ranger School and served with the 101st Airborne. He left the army in 2009 with the rank of captain and was elected to congress in 2012.
