Video: Two Women Subjected To Body Cavity Search During Routine Traffic Stop

This is Rick Perry's Texas? It's worse than the Third Reich. The trouble started when Angel Dobbs, 38, and niece Ashley Dobbs, 24, were stopped by Trooper David Farrell when one of them threw a cigarette out of the car. Farrell claimed he smelled marijuana in the car and requested Trooper Kelly Helleson to do a body cavity search on the two women while he searched the car. No marijuana was found. Helleson has since been fired while Farrell has been indicted on a theft charge, apparently on another matter, and is suspended without pay.
The two women have filed suit against the the two troopers and head of their department in federal court, alleging they were subjected to an illegal and humiliating “roadside body cavity search” during a traffic stop. Then things got really bad for Trooper Helleson. A Dallas County grand jury Monday indicted her on two charges of sexual assault and two charges of official oppression. Thank God!
