I thought the treaty of Westphalia ended the Thirty Years War but apparently the Obama's Department of Homeland Security is anticipating another one. In the last10 months DHS has purchased 1.625 billion rounds of hollow point munitions. At the height of the Iraq war US forces expended rifle rounds at the rate of 5.5 million rounds per month. At that rate it would take 30 years to burn through Big Sis's supply of ammo.
Can you say political money laundering? The contract was awarded to Evian Group, Inc. located at 105 South Eastern Ave, Las Vegas Nevada. The group was formed on December 12, 2012, just 5 days before the solicitation for bids was announced. It does not even have a phone number. Parenthetically Evian spelled backwards is "naive". So DHS awards a contact to a front group that has no manufacturing facility which will in turn make the purchases from presumably US manufacturers, send the ammo to big Sis and cash in on a fat commission. Please define malfeasance in laymen terms for me because not being a sophisticated lawyer this looks like a crooked scheme to funnel money to Obama's political friends.
I read something last night that indicated that perhaps buying up ammo is the government's form of gun control. That, and the new tax states are talking about imposing on all gun control owners. As Jacobsen said at LI, "I can see 2014 from here."
