”President Obama is a towering figure on foreign policy,” he told panelists this morning on ABC’s This Week, “you’ve got somebody with a Nobel Peace Prize and he killed Bin Laden.”Ohhhhkay.
Towering?
Would that include the obvious coverup that is going on with events in Libya?
Would that include the disasters that are occurring in Muslim country after country, encouraged by Washington's limp wristed response to just about any crisis?
Though in the second debate, conservative commentators et al have complained that Romney let a golden opportunity lapse by not following up on the Libya question (even though the aptly named Candy ran interference for Obama and moved Romney away from it), the foreign policy debate is an essential component to understanding the abject failure that is this presidency.
Not to run the White House buggers down when they're down, but a former Obama official has just done that in a column over at Foreign Policy by revealing how horrendous the foreign policy situation is.
Through her own voice and first hand experience, we learn that (like we didn't know second hand) things are sorta dysfunctional over there:
...he has presided over an exceptionally dysfunctional and un-visionary national security architecture -- one that appears to drift from crisis to crisis, with little ability to look beyond the next few weeks. His national security staff is squabbling and demoralized...Basically what she writes is that Obama and his team haven't a clue, A CLUE about what's going on, particularly in foreign policy, how to fix, solve or improve anything.
Her advice includes the following:
1. Get a strategy.There now.
2. Get some decent managers.
3. Get some people who actually know something. 4. Get out of the bubble. 5. Get a backbone.6. Get rid of the jerks.
Does that make you feel better?
Because Obama's former advisor's advice boils down to the revelation--first hand-- of a clueless individual who has surrounded himself with incompetent toadies who really just like to party and fundraise in their own territory.
This doesn't come as a surprise to us, as former Obama aide Neera Tanden let the world in on something the bushy-tailed of us already knew: from her first hand experience, she observes that Obama doesn't even like people.
Former Obama employees Anita Dunn and Christina Romer have complained that the Obama White House is like a "frat house" where women were treated "like meat." These are first hand observations.
Juxtapose those first hand observations with Obama's repeated and ridiculous claim that there's a "Republican war on women" and you might suspect this is a deeply disturbed group of delusional people who are willing to do whatever it takes to hang on to power.
Say whatever it takes.
Ignore whatever it takes.
Unfortunately the world is on fire.
Why, oh, why won't they all cooperate?
Don't they know Obama's up for reelection?
The Nobel Peace Prize winner just might have to bomb somebody else or maybe even kill somebody else to win this darned election.
