Obama's cotton candy job claims

So Factcheck.org is basically one of those "fact checking" websites that themselves require factchecking since they, like so many

  • 1. actors
  • 2. academics
  • 3. musicians
  • 4. clothing designers
  • 5. artists
  • 6. felons
  • 7. thugs
  • 8. journalists but I repeat myself

tend to check off the "Democrat" column, has actually looked at some of Obama's claims of jobs created under his partying/golfing/fundraising careful eye and decided boom! He's lying.
Um. I mean. "Inflating" his "job claims."
How much has he inflated those job claims, you ask?
Oh, how about to $5.2 million from 325,000.
  From Factcheck/Yahoo:

  • Viewers would need to pay close attention to the on-screen graphic to know that the ad refers only to employment gains starting in March 2010, omitting the 4.3 million jobs that were lost in the first year of Obama’s term.
  • And there’s no way a viewer would know that the total counts only private-sector jobs, omitting continuing losses in government employment.
I'm not much of a math person but I'd say this is a little more than inflation.
I'd also say it seems a little bit, um, dishonest to accidentally sort of forget that when you're claiming you created 5.2 million jobs not to mention the  4.3 million that were "lost."
  Know what I mean?
