Damn The Polls

There is a new PPP poll out today that shows Obama leading Romney in North Carolina by 1 point, 49% to 48%. Obama's job approval rating is a nifty 50% and 47% of respondents think the Democrats had a better convention than the Republicans. Okay, Obama is getting a convention bounce but why would 47% of the respondents think that that concatenation of gaffs with God and Jerusalem rammed down the throats of pro Palestinian atheists was a good convention? It's simple. Forty-seven percent of the respondents were Democrats, 34% were Republicans and 20% were independents. Don't be chicken little. The sky is not falling. Obama is only up 1.8% in the Real Clear Politics average of polls.
Glen Reynolds has a quote from Patton, “Do not take counsel of your fears.”

  1. Powerline's John Hinderaker didn't help. I might write a post on it but it's so depressing the way they're buying into this crap. Not Legal Insurrection.

  2. Nothing changed. The country is just as broken as it was before the convention. Obama is pulling a stealth withdrawal from NC and has started buying air time in Minnesota which was supposedly safe. The disaffected Democrats made a visit home but they won't stay.
