America's Greatest Threat: Terry Jones

I wonder if I could buy a Reverend Terry Jones franchise. Here is a country preacher whose chief claim to fame, up until a year or so ago, was that he played Little League baseball with Rush Limbaugh who now gets phone calls from none other than General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the U.S. military's Joint Chiefs of Staff beseeching him not to promote the movie that goes by several names, that no one in America gives a damn about, that at the time of the general's call he had yet to view.
 First no one in government has any business calling a private citizens especially an army general in his official capacity and trying to bully him into not exercising his first amendment rights. Second, only an ass kissing general such as Dempsey who has made political statements in support of the present administration would be so dismissive of the constitution he has sworn to defend.

Getting back to Terry Jones, this guy does not own a big newspaper, does not have a nationally syndicated radio or television show and when I checked 10 minutes ago does not even have a Wikipedia entry and all of a sudden he's the biggest threat to the to the liberal left since Chick-fil-A.

Where do we go from here? Will Hillary Clinton make a personal visit to Florida and beg the reverend to behave? Obama sure won't invite him to the White House for a beer conference since being a Baptist, Jones probably wouldn't drink in public, and Hillary has put the administration on record with, "The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others." A cynic might think the present administration would except Jones from that principle inasmuch as it has already called in the army to shut him up. I seriously doubt that Jones will promote the movie. For one thing, he and everyone else outside the Obama administration knows nobody would watch the damn thing and he is probably sharp enough to know the Obama administration is casting about for a scapegoat for its idiotic, incoherent, and disastrous foreign policy. Still, Jones may want to call Obama and discuss his career opportunities or a DOE green energy loan. Czar without portfolio has a nice ring.
