Adelson's Sands Subject of Fed Probe
So the bullying continues. The day after the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee was forced to issue a public apology to Sands Casino owner, Sheldon Adelson, for false allegations it made the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the US Attorney in Los Angeles is investigating the Sands for money laundering. U.S. authorities also are investigating the Sands to see if there were breaches of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which prohibits bribes to foreign officials by U.S. companies, in its Macau operation. No politics here. It has been 9 months since former Democratic Senator, former Democratic Governor, and present Obama campaign bundler John Corzine allowed $1.2 billion of his clients money to vaporize and yet there has been no indication the DOJ is remotely interested in pursuing Mr. Corzine.
