Romney to Hire Experienced Media Staff- Raised $100 Million in June

Conservative Republicans are voicing concern over the Romney campaign and its inability to stay on message. What seems to be an intramural semantic disagreement between Romney and his senior advisor Eric Ferhnstrom on whether the Obamacare mandate penalty is a tax or a fine has set some very important conservative nerves on edge. Then there was the meeting with the Wall Street Journal editorial board with the owner of the parent corporation, Rupert Murdoch sitting in. Murdoch and editorial page editor Paul Gigot were under whelmed as Romney steered the conversation to flow charts and management expertise and at one point stated he would probably bring in a private consulting firm to help him select a cabinet. The meeting was followed by a scathing WSJ editorial. Then there was the twitter messages from Murdoch and former General Electric CEO Jack Welch

Murdoch: Met Romney last week. Tough O Chicago pros will be hard to beat unless he drops old friends from team and hires some real pros. Doubtful.
Welch: Hope Mitt Romney is listening to Murdoch advice ont campaign staff..playing in league with Chicago pols..No room for amateurs

Former Mississippi Governor Haley Barber, Rush Limbaugh, Bill Kristol, Laura Ingraham all added to the crescendo. This evening Romney has agreed to hire experienced press handlers to shore up its messaging operation. On the bright side, the campaign reported it raised $100 million during the month of June.
