The ridiculous stimulus spending on foolish projects.
The excessive golfing.
The numerous fundraisers (89 in 6 months, O meetings with his jobs council)
The flippant attitude toward the producers in this country.
Now we learn that Obama's people were spreading around billions of dollars like candy. In fact, those who donated to the Obama campaign were given millions and millions of taxpayer dollars for various "projects" that never turned a dollar in profit.
Buzzfeed:
In a video appearance from 2009, venture capitalist Paul Holland — who had given the maximum legal contribution to Obama, and whose companies received over 6 million in government dollars — described his feelings when heard about the billions up for grabs.
"He came in to do his talk and opened his talk with, ‘I’m Matt Rogers I am the Special Assistant to the Secretary of Energy and I have $134 billion that I have to disperse between now and the end of December,’" Holland told the audience. "So upon hearing that I sent an email to my partners that said Matt Rogers is about to get treated like a hooker dropped into a prison exercise yard."Here's the video:
Getting treated like a hooker in a prison yard apparently means screwing the taxpayer, though, because our government (which wants ever more of our money, which represents our LIVES) didn't seem to care who or what got screwed as long as they could buy support from the greedy.
In that context, we look at yet another solar company failure.
Abound Solar is a loss of $400 million. The press blames "Chinese competition" but do we not live in a global economy? Did these executives not take into consideration cheap Chinese products? And why were American panels so much more expensive?
OTOH, I've only seen one house and a business or two that even USE solar panels. If it's the wave of the future, why aren't we seeing even the Chinese solar panels? About the only useful solar panel seem to be the speed monitoring signs that remind us to slow down.
Now the Obama administration is 1) blaming Bush for Solyndra 2) claiming it was "widely praised as successful."
Huh?
I was personally told my a local laid-off solar company engineer that it was his understanding that Solyndra never produced a solar panel.
Then there's Amonix.
And Evergreen.
And Sunpower.
And Solar Trust.
And GE Primestar.
And Energy Conversion.
And First Solar.
And more.
Yet a profitable solar company went belly up because the federal government meddled in the industry by flooding the market with billions of dollars for their own political cronies of this administration.
Here's a video that breaks down the foolishness of the feds' glutting the solar industry market.
The history of government meddling into private industry is exemplified in Spain, yet we are doing the same thing.
The question is this: did the Obama administration purposely ruin the solar industry?
