Perhaps giving the country a preview of how the old and infirmed would fare under Obamacare striking SEIU workers in Connecticut tampered with Alzheimer's medication records and removed identification bracelets at three nursing home facilities. Not many years ago these goons would be sitting in prison but in forward thinking Connecticut they have the backing of the states Democrat elite. Top Connecticut Democratic lawmakers including Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Gov. Dannel Malloy and Attorney General George Jepsen have throw their support behind the union in the protracted labor talks, with Malloy and Jepsen joining picket lines. When the nursing home operators called for an investigation Jepsen refused saying it was a matter for local police.
Conn. Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman with striking nursing home workers at a facility in Newington, Conn.
"The acts of vandalism and sabotage included, but were not limited to: removing wrist bands from over 30 residents; changing names on patient doors and wheelchairs; switching the names of residents in the memory care unit; removing stickers indicating how residents can be fed safely; tampering with medication records and removing handles from hoyer lifts," HealthBridge attorney Maureen Weaver of Wiggin and Dana LLP in wrote in the letter, dated July 19 and released Friday.
This is shameful, immoral, and inhuman but it shows what happens when political power is wedded to economic power. Members of the party that always has a victim ready to address any purported slight behaves more like animals than the angels of the downtrodden they pretend to be.
