Obama was in Ohio last week but did anyone care? He did not pack 50,000 into an overflowing stadium as was often the norm in 2008. His combined audience for the three speeches was a shade under 2,000. The President drew
520 people to his first event in Maumee, another 350 at Sandusky and
in heavily Democratic Cleveland the crowd was estimated by the fire marshall to be 1,000 but that number was disputed by reporters. Question: If a politician speaks in Ohio but there is no one to hear him does he still make a sound? Hell, Romney draws more protestors than Obama draws listeners. Apparently they are astro-turfing the wrong events.
In Maumee across the river from my home town, I have it on good authority they were union folk, not representative of the typical suburban crowd.
