Another Bush vs. Obama example

Earlier this week, we discussed Obama's odd reaction to the Fort Hood shootings. His strange "shootout" to a Medal of Freedom winner whom Obama mistakenly identified as a Medal of Honor winner, his fixation with currying favor with the Native American audience he had been addressing at the conference and his failure to address the Fort Hood shooting until 2 minutes into the press conference with a sad face suddenly assumed.
Later he referred to the Fort Hood terrorist attack as a "workplace shooting."
Now here's the rest of the story which I bet you didn't know from an email I received:
Class Always Shows
A doctor had his TV on in his office when the news of the military base shootings at Ft. Hood, TX came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there.

He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying,"I am okay." Her cell phone rang right after she read the message. It was an ER nurse, "I’m the one who just sent you a text, not your husband. I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so. I am sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot four times and he is in surgery."
The soldier's wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan, AL and drove all night to Ft.Hood. When she arrived, she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK. She rushed to his room and found that he already had two visitors there to comfort him.

He was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side. The nurse took this picture:
What? No news crews and cameras? This is how people with class respond and pay respect to those in uniform. I sent my cousin in Fayetteville, N.C. (Retired from Special Forces) that picture of Geo. W. visiting the wounded at Ft. Hood. I got this reply:
(This part is in dispute, as Bush had sent his condolences to the base and at that point made arrangements to visit. His visit was not a surprise to the base, as he has great respect for the Secret Service.)
What is even better is the fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped. Bush only asked for directions to the hospital then drove on. The gate guard called that, "The President is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital."

The base went bananas looking for Obama. When they found it was Bush, they immediately offered escort. Bush simply told them it was o.k. and to let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead.
This next part is also unverified. Snopes says Obama did not ask Bush to leave, although we know Obama didn't show up for days at Fort Hood.
He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours, and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House.

Obama flew in days later and held a "photo opportunity" session in a gym, and did not even go to the hospital
The email continues:
All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened.
This Bush/Obama/Ft.Hood story is something that should be sent
to every voter in the US. Those who wanted "change." You certainly got it.
Verification from November 2009 Fox News:
Former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura secretly visited Fort Hood last night and spent "considerable time" consoling those who were wounded in Thursday's shooting spree, Fox News has learned.
The Bushes entered and departed the sprawling military facility in secret, having told the base commander they did not want press coverage of their visit, a source told Fox News.
The couple was described as "deeply concerned" about military families on Fort Hood after Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly opened fire on soldiers and civilians, killing 13 and wounding 38
The Bushes, who have a 1,600-acre property known as Prairie Chapel Ranch less than 30 miles from Fort Hood in central Texas, spent between one and two hours visiting the wounded and their families.
Though the part about the White House asking Bush to leave has been denied, no one would doubt it if it did happen, considering the egocentric narcissist involved and the back seat Bush has chosen to take since leaving office
Suffice it to say it isn't hard to believe it's all true.
It's kinda like the scam that's been going around saying Obama's paying everybody's utility bills, thus giving the scammers the bank account numbers of the most truly gullible Obamabots on the planet. The ones who are still waiting for the oceans to be turned back.
Anyone'd believe almost anything about Obama.
The bottom line is there, regardless the details.
Bush was there. Obama wasn't. He was giving "shoutouts" to the wrong people and currying favor with aggrieved groups. He wasn't at the base hospital.
Kinda like people criticized Bush for flying over Katrina storm area without stopping, only his reason was they didn't need any more disturbance by Air Force One flying in.
Only Obama was just...busy. And not too interested.
Cuz it was just workplace violence.
And who cares about that. Especially when an Islamist did it.

  1. Checked that info out with Snopes myself when it was sent to me. Snopes is not a reliable fact checker anyway, but even if in this case is was, the fact that Bush showed up after the incident, in his own car, without escort says mountains about the man.

    Obama is a classless act!

  2. Yeah, I agree. And the fact that Obama was so uninterested (an absolutely undeniable fact!) in the shooting is complete trash.

I didn't agree with Bush on anything, particularly the fact that he wouldn't refute anything that was said about him, no matter how wrong. To me, that was wrong. The truth should be known. So I wouldn't be surprised that Obama really DID tell Bush to get off the base and Bush covered it up.

    It's all just so despicable.

  3. Do you people believe anything you're told, just because you wish it were true?

The claim that when President Obama visited Fort Hood he merely "held a photo session in a gym" is false.

President Obama traveled to Fort Hood and spent four hours there on 10 November 2009, attending a memorial service for the victims of the shooting and meeting with the families of the dead and the wounded.

He held emotional meetings at Fort Hood, Texas, with the relatives of the 13 victims of [the] shooting rampage and condemned what he referred to as the "twisted logic" of the gunman.

Before the service, Obama and first lady Michelle Obama met privately with the families of the dead and some of the wounded. The first couple also planned to visit wounded troops in the hospital before they returned to Washington.

Speaking to thousands of people at a memorial service at the base, Obama said what made the tragedy more painful and more incomprehensible was that it had happened not on a foreign field but on American soil.

Obama postponed a trip to Asia to attend the memorial service, where he read out the names and a brief history of each of the victims. Near the lectern where he delivered his address, 13 pairs of boots were placed, each with a rifle and helmet, along with photographs of the dead.

Many soldiers and relatives expressed gratitude that the president had come to help them grieve, with many breaking into tears.

    1. Yeah, we saw Obama's reaction at Fort Hood, just like we saw it when the underwear bomber hit and just like we saw it this last week when an American ambassador was being tortured and murdered and Obama was partying down.

  4. Lies, lies and more lies.
Nice that Bush and Laura visited, but they were invited, they did have their escort, they stayed two hours, and they were not ASKED TO LEAVE.
This kind of hate filled lies is what divides our country.

    1. We wrote what we could verify as accurately as possible.

It figures that you would call it "hate filled lies" that divide our country because we don't see it the way YOU see it.

Honestly you people are incredibly oppressive and narrow minded. You want to control the narrative no matter the truth.
