It shouldn't take someone at MSNBC long to spin the fact that Obama is losing black support in North Carolina as a net positive for the President. If Obama's cheerleader at the Washington Post, Ezra Klein can convince himself that last Friday's "the private sector is doing fine" gaffe helps the President a mere drop of 14 % among black voters in the Tar Heel state could easily be interpreted by Lawrence O'Donnell who thinks Obama was the big winner in the Wisconsin GOP rout as breathtakingly good news.
Instead of polling the usual 90 % support among blacks, Obama leads Romney by a 76% to 20% edge, a commanding lead indeed but that is the only demographic that has up until his "evolution" on gay marriage stood behind the President no matter what the challenge. It should be disconcerting to Democrats who can still think. Over all the PPP poll gives Romney a 2 point lead in this battleground state.
