Santorum Open Up Huge Lead In Texas

A poll conducted by the University of Texas shows Rick Santorum with a commanding lead over the Republican field. Santorum gets 45 percent. Newt Gingrich holds second place with 18 percent while Willard Romney runs third with 14 percent. Texan Ron Paul brings up the rear with 10 percent. In other words Santorum polls better than the rest of the field combined. Not too bad for a decisive candidate as Jennifer Rubin calls him or a ludicrous candidate as John Hindraker at Powerline calls him. The two aforementioned blogger favor the candidate who is on the verge of losing his home state and is in third place in this poll.
