Santorum Leads In Washington

After Michigan and Arizona and before Super Tuesday comes the Washington caucuses. This has been pretty much neglected in the media and in fact in the grand scheme is not that important but it is one more place to evidence Santorum's surge and could add even more momentum for his campaign going into Super Tuesday. The latest PPP poll finds Santorum leading the field with 38% followed by Romney with 27%. Ron Paul is in third place with 15% and Gingrich brings up the rear with 12%. Again polling indicates the amazing favorability of Santorum with an impressive 69% positive with only 18% negative. The only other candidate in the field with a positive rating is Romney with a 47/42 ratio. Next week looks very grim for Gingrich. He is in fourth place in Michigan and Washington and third place in Arizona.
