Indiana has passed its right to work law. The bill passed it final step, a senate vote easily by a vote of 28 to 22. It will likely be signed by Governor Mitch Daniels today. The law will take effect on March 14. Essentially the bill forbids anyone from being forced to pay union dues as a condition of employment. In fact, the true effects of the law are unknown as both the negatives and the positives have been exaggerated. Democrats have promised to extract revenge in the fall elections but truly they will have a hard time just maintaining their depleted numbers.
