Is Rick Santorum Another Bob Dole?

Good for Rick Santorum. At a cost of $1.65 per vote he staged the most remarkable turnaround in anyone's memory. I still haven't figured out if the missing truck that AP twice reported contained a precinct's vote totals or the change of vote totals late in the evening that supposedly remedied a Romney vote undercount had anything to do with Romney's win but win or place Santorum was last night's winner. Something smelled fishy about the vote tally.

In the weeks ahead it will sink in on the Republican electorate that Santorum was intimately connected to the failed Bush administration. The Bush administration, prior to Obama's reign of debt, had no equal in reckless spending. It gave us no child left behind. It spent billions of borrowed taxpayer dollars in foreign aid to Africa. It began the Department of Energy's green agenda that brought us Solyndra. For the first time in my life the Republicans controlled the White House and both houses of Congress and they blew it. I'll wait for someone else to do the opposition research on Santorum but he will have to explain his role in running up the Bush deficits and how he differs from Bob Dole.
