Detroit City Council Adjourns in Disarray

Click on images to enlarge. The state of Michigan is considering taking over the finances of the city of Detroit. If the plan follows other takeovers in Michigan the elected city leaders would have no power in matters of finance. The state appointed administrator could sell off city property, reopen union contractors and fire non elected city officials. I have written about this in a previous post. In the video below the elected officials of Detroit make a compelling case for a state appointed administrator.
