Democrats May Use BOA Stadium

Obama and the Democrats may be getting more use from those styrofoam columns used four years ago in the orgy of excess in Denver's Invesco Field. The DNC is considering moving the last night of the convention outdoors where the awe and magic could once again stir another cheering crowd into orgasmic ecstasy. There is also the question of money. The outdoor stadium would allow more room for wealthy donors. There will be sky boxes for the one percent. At the $1 million “presidential” level, donors will receive a “premier uptown hotel room,” a “platinum credential package,” a “platinum events package,” as well as “concierge services.”

There is one drawback. The 74,000-seat home of the Carolina Panthers is named "Bank of America Stadium". The administration has done its very best to give Bank of America a dismal name. It chastised it when the bank attempted to add a $5 credit card fee. It shook it down for $335 million in fines for alleged discrimination. It filed suit to stop foreclosures where the paperwork had been robo-signed. Now the Obama is considering addressing the 99 percent from a stadium that bears its name.
