At first glance these Occupy Des Moines protestors might be mistaken for Tea Party people. Notice the men are all clean shaven or their beards are neatly trimmed. The women, for the most part are similarly well groomed. There is even some laughter and banter in the protest. The Mexican protestors do not look like La Rosa stereotypes and conduct themselves with manners and smiles. Maybe personal slovenliness, bad manners, violence, and profanity are blue state attributes. Eleven of the demonstrators slept out over night in 20 degree weather which takes some dedication. If this is a harbinger of the next election Obama is in deep trouble. Could he be the first American President to have both the Tea Party and the Occupy movement pissed at him at the same time?
Apparently the cold weather thinned the membership. Looking at this October video one again sees that they're more docile than the blue state breed. I suspect some of these people actually vote, unlike the greater Occupy movement, which raises the question why the hell do liberal Democrats stake so much on people who probably won't vote for either party?
