House Republicans May Make Obama An Offer He Can't Refuse
Maybe Speaker John Boehner and House Republicans are about to make Obama an offer he can't refuse. They a coming together around a bill that would extend the payroll tax break funded by imposing fees on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and authorizing construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. Tea Party loyalists Tim Scott and Jeff Flake who opposed any extension of the tax break are warming to the idea of forcing Obama to veto his long sought payroll tax break because of his opposition the the Keystone. If the bill gets through the Senate, and that's a big if, the delight of seeing Obama forced to eat his words and sign the bill or hold his position and lose the tax break at Christmas time might be too good to pass up.
