From her padded cabana in an elite Hawaii resort on a $4 million vacation, Michelle Obama has issued an email, begging for 3 bucks. These spam emails from the Obama campaign are frequent and, as usual, they want the money now because it's so important that they finish their work.
For most of us a couch and a movie provide the "long, deep breath" but for Michelle and her family, it takes $4 million of taxpayer money.
This holiday has felt a bit like one last long, deep breath before we plunge into 2012.The use of the presidency to not only beg, but barter for exclusive access and dinners is distasteful, unpresidential and unbecoming.
This time next year, I don't want us to have any regrets. I want to be able to say we rose to the task, and got it done. We've all got some work to do right now.
Over the next 11 months we've got an organization to grow, voters to register, and people to get fired up.
I hope you'll close out this year by donating $3 or more now to help make sure we're ready for the next one:

Thank you so much, and happy new year,
Michelle
P.S. -- Also, when you donate today, you are automatically entered for a chance to be one of three supporters to have dinner with Barack and me.
Unfortunately Governor Romney seems to be stooping to the same level, even though he's not yet a POTUS.
Why he would do this is inexplicable, considering that it replicates the elitist behavior of someone he's trying to beat in an election.
AND Romney is going for a buck, rather than three.
Today Barack sent out a begging email:
New Year's Eve isn't a day people usually think about politics -- you probably have other things on your mind.Yesterday it was Rufus Grifford:
But tonight's fundraising deadline is our most critical yet.
So if you're wondering why you should donate now, here's why: Everything we've built together, and everything we still have to do, depends on 2012.
And 2012 starts at midnight tonight.
Make a donation of $3 or more before the deadline:

Happy new year,
Barack
If you thought to yourself, "Again, Rufus?!" when you saw this email pop up in your inbox, I'm really sorry. The Obama campaign has perfected the art of spamming people's mailboxes, even from vacation.
But I have just one thing to say before tomorrow's midnight deadline: These deadlines may seem arbitrary, but they're very real.
They affect so much -- from budgets to headlines to how big we can take our ground game in the states. When we say that every donation matters, it's actually true. We cannot win without the support of millions of people like you.
Trust me: Nobody here wants to be a bother. But we're counting on everyone who cares about this campaign and this president to chip in when it matters most.
Think you can donate $3 or more right now?

Seriously, thank you.
