Oakland Mayor Stands with the 99% 50% of the Time

When her critics advised her that they would be pursuing a recall campaign against her, partly due to lack of control of the Occupy Oakland movement, Mayor Jean Quan ordered the police to clear the camp site. She cited public health and safety as the need for the action. After the police did as ordered suffering to injuries in the process the mayor changed her mind and issued this apology.

Then, on Wednesday, October 26th, the Mayor allowed protesters back in – to camp out at the very place they were evacuated from the day before.
To add to the confusion, the Administration issued a memo on Friday, October 28th to all City workers in support of the “Stop Work” strike scheduled for Wednesday, giving all employees, except for police officers, permission to take the day off. Can anyone find a more hypocritical politician?
