Senate Defeats Obama's "Jobs Bill" Again

Rapists and holdup men can breath easy again. Vice President Biden has been promising more robberies, rapes, and homicides if the Congress failed to pass the $35 billion aid bill to state and local governments to prevent layoffs of teachers, police officers and firefighters. The Senate voted 50 to 50 on the motion to proceed. Democrats needed 60 votes to proceed. Funding was the sticky part of the bill. The cost of the bill was to be offset by a surtax on millionaires. Apparently three Democrats joined 47 Republicans in caving to the powerful rapists and robbers lobby which refuses to pay its fair share.
