Occupy Toledo needs...help

I drove by there a few days ago and there were about 5 people there with a big "Occupy Everywhere" sign, a command typical of practical thinkers.
  Now they need help:

Occupy Toledo Needs Your SupportWe need protesters at Levis Square ASAP!
Power has been shut off, and we are receiving word that Mayor Bell is considering our eviction from the park!
Please call the Mayor's office 419-245-1001.
Gettin' cold and windy...no power to run their iPads and laptops...and then there's Mayor Bell.
Ah, Mayor Bell, who supports Issue 2, which all the teachers, police and firefighters, city and state workers hate so much.
He's going to evict you from the park?
Maybe you're a racist if you don't like that.

  1. I think he ran as an Independent but it was by default, as I recall, because the other Democrat was the party favorite. I think he's a good guy. He seems to have practical ideas he's willing to back up with action.

Of course, Toledo is a Democrat town, realistically.

  2. I didn't think he could have possibility been a Republican. Not in Toledo

  3. Hey, we had a Republican mayor once. DONNA OWENS was her name. I'd say percentage wise, the number of Republicans in office in Toledo over the years is probably...10%.

    Maybe.

  4. Yeah, Mike Bell...lifetime public employee...top salary public employee...TRIPLE-DIPPING public employee, turned born-again conservative.

No wonder he's trying to evict the protestors. There's some air in that park they might breath before he gets a chance to collect it all.

    - Buh-bye Issue 2
