Perry Holds Small Lead In South Carolina

If South Carolina is indicative of bad things to come Michele Bachmann might want to save some of her campaign for a Senate run against Amy Klobucher. In the latest Winthrop University poll from South Carolina Bachman she has fallen behind Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich. Poll results areas follows:

Perry: 31, Romney: 27, Cain: 8, Bachmann: 4, Palin: 6, Gingrich: 5, Paul: 4, Santorum: 2, Huntsman: 2.

  1. How sad that the man whose 30 year voting record is reflective of always obeying the constitution and gets the most donations from active military personnel of all other candidates combined is only at 4%. Then again, S.C. folk think that Lindsey Graham is fit to be a 3 term senator. God help us....

  2. I'm not sure about your conclusion. I like Santorum, but there's something about him that just doesn't work for president. His persona is sort of yipping doggie; I think he'd be good as a Secretary of um, something, but I just don't perceive him as having the kind of command necessary for the job. I LIKE him, but....the point about Lindsey Graham is well taken. We;ll see how long he lasts in this environment.
