First it was the Arab Spring, then it was the Japanese tsunami, and now a third demon has struck team Obama. The great Wisconsin teacher's union bust of 2011 is sure to send a shockwave through the economy. Monday the Wisconsin Education Association Council announced it will lay off about 40% of its staff. Naturally Governor Scott Walker was blamed for this action and maybe with some justification. In September, because of Walker, the Council must win a recertification election to remain as the bargaining agent.
