Thanks President Downgrade

The United States has had a AAA+ credit rating since 1917. It survived the Great Depression and World War II but in less than three years Barack Hussein Obama lost it. He could have heeded the warnings from the rating agencies but he chose not to. Why? What is more important to Obama and his Democratic allies in Congress than the well being of the United States? The poll above was taken before news of the downgrade was made public. It's the Gallup daily tracking poll and you can check it daily. I'll go out on a limb and bet that this is as high as it will get while Obama is in office. As the country goes down hill it's only just the President go down hill with it.

Update: Got that wrong! Both Gallup and Rasmussen use a three day moving average so events don't change results immediately. Also most of those polled were probably not aware of the downgrade. Latest numbers are 42 percent approve; 50 percent disapprove.

  1. I keep wondering who these 41% are. Is this another example of a poll skewing Democrat? How stupid could you be to support this guy? Gonna go look at the questions and stats.

  2. I think he benefit from the Wilder effect. Remember Doug Wilder, the country's first black governor? His poll numbers ran far ahead of the election results. Theory was voters lied to pollsters so as not to appear racist.

  3. You're probably right. Today's Gallup says, like, 87% of Blacks approve of Obama, while everybody else is sinking. However the poll doesn't break down the surveyed populace. As usual. Of course I remember Doug Wilder. And Marion Barry. And Kwame Kilpatrick. Nothing racial here. Just blind loyalty, ignoring the facts.
