Strauss-Kahn Rape Case Implodes
"Don’t worry, this guy has a lot of money. I know what I’m doing, ” That translation of a recorded phone call from the alleged rape victim must have hit New York prosecutors of the Dominique Strauss-Kahn case like a blackjack. Worse yet the conversation was with her boyfriend who was being held in an immigration detention facility after he had been arrested for bartering counterfeit designer clothing from Manhattan’s Chinatown for marijuana. Further investigation of the victim revealed she lied about almost everything. On her application for asylum she claimed that she had been raped but later changed that story. She had lied about her financial status so she could stay in public housing. Of course none of this proves she wasn't assaulted by Mr. Strauss-Kahn but the word of a small time con artist against an internationally know political figure with no criminal record was much to much for New York prosecutors to oppose bail for DSK.
