Wasserman-Shultz And Jim Crow

Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman-Shultz has accused Republicans of wanting to take us back to Jim Crow days. Overlooking the historical fact that "Jim Crow" was a hallowed institution in both the American south and the Democratic Party, the excitable Congresswoman from Florida bemoans Republican efforts on the state level to require voter photo ID's and reducing early voting days. Noting that students (some whom vote in two jurisdictions) and minorities (some of whom are illegally in the country) would be impacted the most, Ms Wasserman-Shultz played the race card with her usual aplomb.
