Reality intrudes on lefties' Osama euphoria

  Well, well, well.
  Things are starting to shake down and, as usual, they are not as they seem.
  The story alluded to this morning is breaking bigger, so much so that perhaps we'd better quote it here, keeping in mind that the source is an anonymous White House "insider."
  It appears Obama, having known for some time (months) about the situation of Osama's location, was hesitant to do anything about it (for months). When pressed, he went golfing and then "slept on it," which is hard to imagine considering that such an endeavor isn't something that would normally trigger sleeping.
  So, according to rumors now leaching into the MSM, Obama was overruled by Panetta on the decision to actually get this going.

: I was told – in these exact terms, “we overruled him.” (Obama)  I have since followed up and received further details on exactly what that meant, as well as the specifics of how Leon Panetta worked around the president’s “persistent hesitation to act.”  There appears NOT to have been an outright overruling of any specific position by President Obama, simply because there was no specific position from the president to do so.  President Obama was, in this case, as in all others, working as an absentee president.

  Read it all but why is this surprising? That he should take credit now for other people's work certainly is nothing new. 
  We'll see how this shakes out but there have been some peculiar developments over the last few hours with the White House's dealing with the Osama death.
  For example, what the heck are they all talking about the "treasure trove" of info gleaned from Osama's computer? Wouldn't it be smarter to play it closer to the vest, to not warn those who'd communicated with Osama that you had a couple hard drives full of stuff? Isn't that "top secret"? And why would the PHOTO of the dead Osama be top secret but not the knowledge of what was taken from Osama's house?
  And why the hesitation to show the photo? Inflammatory? How is it more inflammatory than actually KILLING the guy? Don't we see photos and videos all the time of BEHEADED individuals?
  And why are the stories changing so much? This makes everyone, Americans and the world, suspicious of any information that emanates from this administration.
  Didn't that group, including the president, watching from the White House get to see the raid as it happened? Weren't they WATCHING? Wouldn't they KNOW who was in the room? And if Osama had a gun? How can the firefight have lasted 20 minutes if Osama had no weapons or bodyguards around him?

  The raid was brilliantly planned and executed by the military, but one can't say the same about the administration's decision-making or communications. Now we are embroiled in controversies about whether photos of the dead bin Laden will be released and whether it was appropriate to give him some sort of religious service in connection with his "burial" at sea. The administration's missteps do not significantly tarnish the achievement of getting bin Laden, but President Obama and his minions can be grateful that the press will, for the most part, pass over its errors and contradictions in silence.

  Here's a rundown of the changing timeline.
  And what the heck was up with the 40 minute ceremony for a murderer? How could you ask Christian naval personnel to perform that? And what was the purpose? Wasn't our point that Osama doesn't ACT like a REAL Muslim? Aren't we contending that?
  Regardless, it's been great to hear pro American cheers the last few days. Wonderful. Music.

I don’t think there is a veteran who ever held a rifle in harm’s way that isn’t envious of the hero who got to see Osama bin Laden’s face as he confronted American vengeance. I imagine bin Laden hearing the English of infidels before he smelled the cordite from their ammunition. He must have seen the strobes of gunfire in the dark. The tinny pops and whines of rounds echoing throughout his building. Sand-speckled boots shuffling toward his door.

We all pacified evil collectively through the MP5s of a few Navy SEALs we will never meet or know 

  But a little reality needs to return to the euphoria Obama supporters are feeling, thinking this was the coming of the 21st century Christ.
  THIS is what he was doing right before the event. Does he look worried?

  And as far as the tshirts reading "It took Obama to get Osama."
