The Left: Disconnected from Reality

Chris Christie has vowed to bring New Jersey's budget into line, taking on a host of critics who mock and ridicule him. This video is a good example of his chutzpah:
Not favored by this presidential administration, the DOJ has gone after Christie for his "big spending," as Politico puts it, when he was a state attorney. This DOJ, which refuses to prosecute black voting illegalities and illegal aliens' transgressions, is going after Christie for what? Overspending by $2,176 over the course of, wait for it, 23 trips.
Wow. And how much will it cost the DOJ to prosecute this case? And where were these "over" expenditures racked up by Christie? Cities like DC and NYC where hotel rates run exorbitant amounts?
  Wow.
So what does Christie get for his desire to pull a state back from bankruptcy?
He gets a DOJ lawsuit and repeated insults against his, wait for it, weight.
Chris Matthews. Fat Ed Schulz. Marc Lemont Hill. Corzine in his ad campaign against Christie.
  All mock Christie's physique.
  Why?
  Because they have nothing else.
Liberal states are bankrupt because of liberal policies.
Nancy Pelosi is completely clueless when it comes to being connected with reality. Here's her latest at HuffPo:
The results of the election, she said, were "very sad, of course, about what it means to the great middle class." Pelosi said that the vote was not a rejection of Democratic ideas, but frustration that those policies didn't work fast enough to create jobs. "The election was no ringing endorsement of Republicans," Pelosi said. "We do not accept their version of what this election means. It's not about rejecting what President Obama has done. It didn't go fast enough to create jobs. That's what it's about."
Pelosi is facing revolt among the younger dem set. Even old Marcy Kaptur is getting in on the act. Read it at Politico.
  Gee, wonder who'll win.
Ouch. And then there's this unbearably accurate and painful takedown of Michelle O over at American Thinker:

Besides hopscotch and freestyle Koli dancing, youthful firewood collectors, animal tenders, beggars, prostitutes, and street vendors listened intently as Michelle recounted personal hardships and sad stories about a beleaguered Chicago childhood.  When not totally absorbed in Indian exhibition dancing, the First Lady related to those who subsist “amidst trash, animals and open sewers” a heritage replete with poverty.
Michelle said, “I didn’t grow up with a lot of money.” Reminding exploited youngsters that rough childhoods are not exclusive to India, Mrs. Obama exhorted those that sleep curled up on railroad platforms to follow her lead and make sure to get an education.
