Rubicon Wednesday heads toward NOvember

It's been an interesting and encouraging day, unless you listen to the many naysayers.
  Something changed today.
  Some hurdle was jumped.
The NOvember election nears, and those who were watching warily, not tea partiers, half interested but distanced, awakened to learn that the tea party indeed is making inroads across the nation.
Real concern was expressed by the party establishments; average people who decided to run for office and won are being given the great and unpleasant physician's exam to discover what weaknesses they may have, what wack-a-doo traits may be discovered, either in the present or past.
These people simply aren't good enough to win and serve in office In Washington, DC.
  Really?
To this I might say, "Look what we have in office now.
Does anyone really think Charlie Rangel is a paragon of virtue?
Does anyone really think Harry Reid is a better candidate than a mom who's run for a couple offices and won?
Does anyone really think Nancy Pelosi ISN'T an extreme candidate?
There is concern about Christine O'Donnell, the unexpected winner of last night's Delaware election, and her little problem with finances. One would prefer a candidate with a pristine record.
But does any voter really think that Castle is better with money? Or her opponent Chris Coons who, after a trip to Kenya, referred to himself this way (Politico)
"Chris Coons: The Making of a Bearded Marxist.”
Honestly do we really need another Marxist in the government? And Christine O'Donnell has no chance to win, just like Scott Brown had no chance to win? A Republican taking a Kennedy seat in Massachusetts? Impossible.
  Non?
So there's scandal all around, but the warning shots that have been repeatedly fired across the bows of many ships have grown to a full out assault.
And what's pretty amazing is that the Republican establishment has revealed their colors in many ways through the Delaware race. First by making nasty robocalls about her, then by refusing to help financially, putting people up to snark at her, refusing to support her financially and then swiftly changing face when it became apparent that the nation was not behind their position.
  How do we know this?
She raised half a million dollars in less than a day. She had $20,000 in the bank yesterday.
The Republican establishment can moan all they want about dollars being down nationally but the real question is how much Republican candidates have garnered individually nationwide.
What we have now, ladies and gentlemen, is informed voters who are giving money to candidates of their choices across the nation, not waiting for the monkeys in the offices to dole out our bucks to the good ole boys.
Meanwhile the democrat operatives are out, busily claiming they are in excellent shape because tea party candidates (Moms and Pops) are extreme, unsuitable to serve in the ruling class, the lords and ladies of the country. They lack the right stuff. They don't have experience. They favor the rich
  Again.
  Who lacks the right stuff?
Could it be the unctuous bloviator Harry Reid, who chose to drive a "fleet of SUVs" across the street to a meeting?
  Experience?
  They're kidding, right?
Because we've learned that experience means theft. Experience means you sneak your payraise in while raising everybody else's taxes. Experience means you figure out how to arrange kickbacks to your campaign when you conveniently funnel money toward various special interests.
  We've had enough experience.
Favor the rich? We'd all like to be rich, if that's even possible anymore.
And we'd all like to earn a job from a rich guy.
So the provincial and even the wise are hesitant to endorse some of the wins.
And the forces are marshaling to discredit the new and uninitiated, while some democrats are reading mene mene tekel upharsin and thinking, hey, maybe that government run health care endorsement wasn't such a great idea. (Translation: I should probably walk instead of drive an SUV 100 feet.)
Republicans: You have a choice to make.
It'd better be the right one.
  democrats: Move.
Cuz, you know, you could end up having to buy your own damn SUV to drive home, wherever that used to be.
Yes, it's good to be a tea partier tonight.
  Something's changed.
It's not a matter of their listening anymore.
It's a matter of their running scared. Panicking. Scrambling.
So go ahead. Keep doin' what you're doin', lords and ladies.
  Make my day.
