On this day in history

Some excellent observations about September 4 over at Hillbuzz. Read the article right HERE:
When I learned about race history in American, I never learned that the Democrat party was actually responsible for the Civil War, for the KKK, for segregation, and for the long and disgusting history of general oppression of blacks post-Civil War. As a young man I always assumed right-wing rednecks were responsible.

  1. I knew one of those 101st paratroopers who went into Little Rock. He told me that some of the men from that part of the country where afraid to go home on leave after that action. The 101st was half crazy in those days. Many were Korean and even WWII vets but many were enlistees who would jump for the extra $50 per month they made in the conscripted army of the time. Google photos from that action and notice they went in with fixed bayonets and they were not always gentle with the civilians

  2. That hurts...they were afraid to go home. I fear that with some of our soldiers over THERE who are afraid to find out what's happening over here...in Arizona...at military bases. God Bless our military. And we pray for more unity.
