Kathleen Parker, pseudo conservative, writes remorselessly over at the WaPo about Glenn Beck. (Is she hiding something herself?)
Apparently once you make a few poor choices, you're doomed for life to be ridiculed as an out of control idiot trying to make good on your mistakes, unless, of course, you're Bill Clinton or Barack Obama or that "downright mean" Michelle Obama. Read it here.
Then over at Vanity Fair, the cover of which features that icon of virtue Lindsey Lohan, we have a particularly vicious hit piece on Sarah Palin. According to one Michael Joseph Gross, Palin is a liar, a bad tipper, has a nasty temper, is delusional and narcissistic. And conceited. Todd doesn't like her much either. You can read the 18 page piece here, if you care to make it through. No quotes.
Oh, and both of them are messianic. Yeah. That's it.
Of course, Olbermann made fun of Beck. Big surprise. Too bad nobody saw it.
We won't even mention the $100,000 a publisher put on the head of Glenn Beck, since rescinded over at the Huffington Post. One can hardly condemn another for abominable behavior if one is participating in worse.
So how are the lefties dealing with last weekend's massive rally?
Well, of course, you have the totally sane and reasonable Ed Schulz screaming (no, really) that he too could raise at least that money people for a rally if he really wanted to, but the old unions beat him to it, probably so that Mr. Nut Job won't feel like he should be the emcee.
Claiming they aren't fueled by hate, but rather hope, the unions hope to motivate a bunch of people by October 2 to march on D.C. to prove that they are going to win in November and that they too have the heart and desire of tea partiers.
And inevitably, it won't cost the union members much to do so because they'll probably get the day off anyway. Or maybe days. Maybe it will be, like Easter Monday, called "Rally Friday because who would want to actually rally on a work day. Whew. Those weekends are for relaxing.
This rally, of course, will be funded and attended by drones paid by the local unions, who have siphoned millions of dollars from local and federal governments for just this very kind of thing. Read about that rally here at The Daily Caller.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the United States Department of Justice is suing the state of Arizona for enforcing the law of checking green cards. Sigh. It's quite complicated. Apparently you're not supposed to check prospective employees' green cards to see if they're in town legally because, you know, you're breaking the law if you hire an illegal. Oh, wait. No. You're breaking the law if you check their cards. Wait. Which is it? Oy. I'm so confused.
Then the DOJ has turned over our Arizona to the UN because we just don't respect any civil rights in America. For illegals, anyway, because we know that tea partiers don't deserve any rights, eh? Read it here.
So the Left is desperately trying to spin the news to make it work their way. Unfortunately this has been a really bad week for that.
And dang that new Oval Office rug with the Martin Luther King quote woven right it. Looks like somebody else said it.
Yes, reality bites.
And that's the way it is in the best neighborhood on the planet.
