Leave Thatcher alone

While they haven't done it yet to the Great Ronald Reagan (he's probably next), Hollywood is going after Margaret Thatcher, now that she is incapacitated and cannot defend herself. England is in such a mess now that it is difficult to understand how critics can look back on the Thatcher does and not be nostalgic, but here we are, ready to trash any leader who isn't sufficiently socialistic or even communist.
How many leftist movies have been made? How many are successful?
An Inconvenient Truth and Fahrenheit 9/11 were the two most successful of the ridiculous lineup of left wing movies; the public doesn't seem to be buying the left wing lines anymore and it is truly a tragedy that these two movies, which are filled with lies, inaccuracies and exaggerations, have so indoctrinated young people with such erroneous, hateful leftist doctrine.
Now comes the movie about Thatcher, that strong woman who led her country so much better than recent leaders.
One has to ask: why is the left so filled with hate? Why is the left so determined to rewrite history? Why must the left always resort to slurs and lies to make their case?
  Over at Powerline:
One of the several ironies here is that if the studio made a heroic film about the real Margaret Thatcher, quite a few people would go see it. It is hard to imagine what audience the producers imagine for what sounds like another depressing and pointless hate-fest. But, as Michael Medved showed quite a few years ago, movie producers don't make left-wing movies to make money, they make left-wing movies because they are left-wingers. Which is also why they can get stars like Meryl Streep to star in them. The whole thing is, frankly, sickening.
