Governor's race in Michigan-bleh

Hard as it may be to believe, the worst person won the Republican seat for the gubernatorial race in Michigan. This is a great disappointment, as the democrat nominee is one of the most obnoxious, unctuous, ballistic human beings ever created and the Republicans have a great chance to take back Michigan from the hands of big spending, union thuggish liberals. This is a good example of what can happen when candidates split the vote and should exemplify a situation like this in the future for tea partiers. Both Hoekstra and Cox were good candidates; unfortunately, neither won.
The Blog Prof has commentary but be warned. He's NOT happy.
If Hoekstra had won, it would be all over for the Dems. If Cox had won, it would be all over for the Dems. Ironically, if Dillon had won he would have likely beaten Snyder in November with a lot of Republicans crossing over to his camp, so the Democrats shot themselves in the foot by picking the angriest mayor in the country. But then the Snyder decision came down, essentially a shot in the GOPs foot as well. Besides myself, almost every conservative I know will not vote for Snyder either.  Conservatives don't vote for Repblicans, they vote for conservatives.
