USDA Sherrod explains her behavior

Listening to the tape of Shirley Sherrod rattle on about how she decided to only minimally help a white farmer who she felt was condescending toward her, even though he had come to her for help, can easily convince the watcher that the woman is a racist.
At the end of the excerpt aired by Big Government, she explains that she began to understand that the problems weren't about black and white, but rather about people being poor. Watching that part of the segment casts uncertainty on the validity of the racist accusations, according to Ms. Sherrod, who is claiming she was taken out of context.
Here's her explanation, sympathetically portrayed by the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
Indeed she does seem to have a satori moment that reveals that her job isn't about distinguishing people by the color of their skin, but by their need.
Of course, now there is no way to check the veracity of her story about this particular individual, since the man she referenced is conveniently passed away.
Does this let her off the hook as a non-racist and an effective government official?
  No, it does not.
She certainly has an ego problem, asserting that the poor (literally) white farmer was trying to show how "superior" he was to her.
  Huh?
You're in charge of 1.2 billion dollars to dole out and you're offended by some poor farmer who needs help?
She also admits that any motivation for helping him was because she was afraid she was going to be checked on by superiors.
And she repeats the fact that she sent the white farmer on to work with "his own kind." She takes him to "his own kind" ( a white lawyer) to deal with him. She says, "It's not so much about white and black, well, it IS about white and black..."
  One of "his own."
  "His own."
Watch it and ask if you want this kind of individual in charge of over a billion dollars of your money.
I certainly want "my own kind" in charge of tax dollars.
That doesn't mean skin color, unlike the people currently in charge of this country. That means someone who respects fiscal austerity and conservatism.
Update: Cynthia Tucker, a notorious leftwinger, claims Breitbart is a scourge to the universe. Sherrod is complaining that Fox pressured her to resign because of Glenn Beck, et al, and that's why she did. She WAS to appear on Megyn Kelly's show today, but then withdrew her offer to appear. Huh.
Not a bad idea. Post the whole video and see what happens.

  2. I addressed that.
As I said, the woman was currently in charge of $1.2 BILLION and she is still talking about "your own kind" and "his own kind."
Imagine if a white director talked like that in front of an audience in MARCH of this year referencing a black farmer. "His own kind"?
Imagine this: "He was a black man. I knew what he was doing. He was condescending to talk to me. I knew what he was up to. So I sent him to one of his own kind for help. A black lawyer. You know the kind. Black."
THAT, my friend, was in March, not 24 years ago.
I'm afraid you're part of the idiocracy, not me.
