Stark: Tax breathing

Great idea, Pete. A currency tax. What's next? A tax for sitting on the couch? A tax for cutting your toenails? A tax for leaving the house? And, remember, it's just wittle, teeny, tiny tax. Wittle wittle one. That's all.
A new tax for the children? Which is actually a tax for global warming to redistribute wealth from the productive to the non-productive. Remember, it's for the children.

Today, I introduced H.R. 5783, the Investing in Our Future Act. My legislation would simply impose a small tax — of 0.005 percent — on these currency transactions. The money raised would be put toward investments in children, global health and climate change mitigation.
This grand idea is from crazy Pete Stark. You remember him: the more we owe, the wealthier we are!
