NASA's mission: global warming? muslim outreach?

Unless you've been visiting Florida, you are probably aware that NASA administrator Charles Bolden recently made clear his primary mission as commissioned by the president, which is to make Muslims feel better about themselves and all their contributions to science a few hundred years ago. Here's the video, in case you're on Sanibel Island somewhere playing in the sand and you haven't seen it yet:

Although now that I think of it, you might not be aware of this because of the MSM blackout of coverage of this event. Byron York pointed out that no MSM outlet covered the new NASA mission as stated by Bolden. Over at Powerline there's a suggestion that they're covering for Obama because if the American public realized this, Obama would fall into disfavor:
As Scott points out in the post immediately below, the news that President Obama tasked NASA head Bolden, as perhaps his foremost mission, with raising Muslim self-esteem is entirely absent from the New York Times and the Washington Post, as well as the nightly newscasts of ABC, NBC, and CBS. Why? Bill Otis argues, persuasively I think, that it's because this news is potentially devastating to Obama:
The reason the MSM has the lid on NASA's new "mission" to snuggle up to Islam (in between decapitations and floggings) is that it would be devastating to Obama if it became known. On the surface, the new NASA "mission" seems merely screwball, and thus a small story. But I think it's a good deal more than that. It shows that Obama's thinking is unrecognizable to the average person. It also shows that he's unserious -- frivolous, really -- about something that made a generation of Baby Boomers take pride in their country. How many millions of people sat in their junior high auditoriums and watched the Alan Shepherd and John Glenn launches? How many millions more were up at midnight on July 20, 1969 to watch the first human being, an American, put his foot on the moon?
A point of interest that no one has recently commented on is that this isn't the first time Obama has shifted mission for NASA (which needs to be renamed, unless SPACE now is a sort of euphemism for WHATEVER WE FEEL LIKE PUTTING IN THAT SPACE such as NA_A. Of course, we'd have to remove the AERONAUTICS too. So maybe it should be the N__A). In fact, N__A's budget was not cut, but jobs were not supposedly saved.
There was so much rancor when Obama redefined NASA's mission that during his planned visit to the Kennedy Space Center on April 15, NASA employees (all badged with government clearance) were banned from attending Dear Leader's speech. Apparently the room was stocked with sycophantic hyenas and clapping monkeys, AKA as "presidential townhall" attendees. Read it over at NASAWatch (not a government website):
KSC employee note: "I guess Obama doesn't want to see any employees during his visit. The O&C, where he will speak has been closed to all employees on Thursday. Security Bulletin text included below. Not clear yet whether employees will be told to stay home or just hang out somewhere else. I'm guessing about 1000 employees are affected by this closure, including many of the technology development laboratories."
"SECURITY FLASH - O & C CLOSURE: The O&C Facility will be closed to all personnel on Thursday, April 15, from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m., to accommodate President Obama's visit. All services within the building, to include but not limited to, fitness center, Rehabworks, massage, cafeteria, sundry store, etc., will be closed. No access will be permitted unless previously authorized and included on an approved entry authorization list. Parking will not be permitted in the O&C east parking lot or the front curb parking area. All vehicles, including GSA vehicles, must be removed from these areas no later than 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 15th. The O&C west parking lot will be partially closed. All vehicles, including GSA vehicles, must relocate to the western-most portion of this parking lot (closer to the Training Auditorium)."
As another matter of fact, earlier this year while it was still NASA, N__A's mission was readjusted to be one of pursuing global warming--AGW, which is what they've wanted all along anyway, which was pioneered by the bag of wind James Hansen:

Today, the Orlando Sentinel reports that President Obama will introduce a budget next week which will cut future exploration funding from NASA, including the planned missions to the Moon and Mars set in motion following the Columbia disaster.  On first glance, this may appear to be a budget cutting move to fall in line with the drop-in-a-bucket spending freeze Obama has proposed. But it isn’t.  In fact, NASA’s budget is increasing.  So if NASA’s budget is increasing, why are exploration plans being put on hold? Obama is halting America’s exploration of the unknown so we can explore…global warming.

According the Sentinel: “…the White House will direct NASA to concentrate on Earth-science projects — principally, researching and monitoring climate change.” NASA will reportedly receive a budget increase of $200-$300 million over its current $18.7 billion budget.
Of course, Scrappleface has a way to make all things right by suggesting we use recent muslim technology to send muslims into space:
Echoing the words of President John F. Kennedy in March of 1961, President Barack H. Obama told a joint session of Congress, “I believe this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal of landing a Muslim on the Moon, and returning him safely to Earth using only Muslim technology.”
According to Mr. Bolden, NASA engineers are already “close to testing” a solid rocket booster powered by combustible animal dung, and operated according to principles discovered by Ibn Al-Haytham, Islam’s best-known scientist, who died in 1039 A.D..
So you're all caught up on the N__A scandal. Now go put your feet in the Gulf of Mexico again before the oil globs get there.
