Mr. president: Lay off the personal digs at citizens

Okay, so you're a democrat. We know that. You're a liberal. We know that too.
Is is possible that a liberal democrat can actually ACT presidential without taking petty vicious swipes at all manner of citizens every time you get in front of a camera, including the opposing party and politicians, talk show hosts, a television station that doesn't fawn over you and even the regular folks?
Your pettiness and meanness have not gone unnoticed; out here in the Heartland, we're also noticing that your pack is turning on you because they're fed up with your arrogance too, although they are using the excuse that they have been taking "tough" votes for YOU.
This word, tough, we all know, is a euphemism for voting against the will of the American people, even though we sent them there with the understanding that they would do what is BEST for the country, rather than what is personally best for them to retain power.
TOUGH=VOTING AGAINST THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE
Those votes shouldn't have been for YOU, as they say; those votes should have been for us, the people. Your power derives from the consent of the governed, in case you forgot. Or maybe y'all changed those principles since you got into office. Huh.
So admittedly, they (and many Republicans) aren't much better than you.
Who can forget the sight of Hoyer, Lewis and Pelosi dramatically walking through the crowd rather than using their private underground tunnel, purposely inflaming the crowd, while Pelosi held the giant gavel in an EFF YOU to the chanting crowd.
This is really remarkable video, as we hear the voice of the people screaming in the background "Kill the bill! Kill the bill!"
The congress elite walk with their police escort, who shout repeatedly to the unwashed masses around them, "Get out of the way! I'm not gonna tell ya again!"
They have to protect the aristocracy, after all.
It wasn't necessary to pass through that crowd, unless, of course, you were TRYING to get people to scream epithets at you.
For video of this tunnel, go here. Go here to see more pictures and background on the tunnels that connect all the buildings in D.C.
So it's pretty clear that what Pelosi et al did was deliberate. They were defiantly hoping to stir up all kinds of trouble by taking this walk, wielding the massive gavel, in the faces of the thousands of concerned citizens who traveled, on their own money, to the capitol that weekend. It was an affront to democracy, what your people did.
It's never been about what's good for the country.
  It's always been about power.
Look at their faces. Is that about humility? Is that about doing what's best for the American people? Or is that about a naked grab for power, a health care program lusted after for many years. And there they go, carefully dressed, holding hands, purposely inciting the crowd in preparation to use whatever video they could get against the tea partiers later. Fail.
So you, Mr. president, even though you are a partisan liberal Democrat, could have done something to change that, even after this monstrous bill was passed against the will of the people. You could have tried to bring people together.
But instead, you keep slashing, cutting, stabbing at the Heartland and its citizens.
So you have the nerve to come here, to Michigan, and insult the elected official, the official the people of Michigan put into place, by saying this, in an attempt to embarrass him publicly. Why can't let it go, just once?
“I know there are some who want to go back — who think we should return to the policies that actually led to the recession,” Obama said to a crowd of more than 400 guests and event volunteers. “And some of them have made the political calculation that it’s better to obstruct than lend a hand. They said no to the tax cuts, to the small business loans, to the clean energy projects.
“Of course, it hasn’t stopped many of these same people from turning up at ribbon-cuttings, but that’s OK.”
You say this looking directly at Hoekstra. You the uniter.
You can smile all you want. You can say, "But that's okay," after every dig. You do that, but we see through you.
You're doing what you always do.
You're giving another of your  SHOVEL READY excuses.
