This was indeed remarkable tv. Kirsten Powers tends to be a fairly moderate individual but she really blew on this interview. A couple minutes in, it really gets heated. SHEESH! This was regarding the New Black Panthers case and the DoJ's refusal to follow through on voter intimidation. ALSO: Kirsten's performance was very disappointing, as she tried repeatedly to diminish the significance of a militant bearing a weapon and wearing military garb trolling at the voting place. She dismissed J. Christian Adams as an aggrieved partisan, appointed by Bush. This is an insult to the democratic process, as ALL WHISTLEBLOWERS can be placed in this category! That's the point of WHISTLEBLOWING. So, rather than deal with the issue reasonably, Kirsten mocked what she regarded as voter hysteria. She also poo-poohed the idea that the DoJ has different standards for white and black voters, even though the DoJ will not let the appropriate people involved testify about the truth of the matter. If everything's on the up and up, why not let them testify, Kirsten?
