But now we are faced with the blame game regarding the oil spill. Remember when Bush called the officials in Louisiana, ASKING what the feds could do to make sure nothing bad happened...BEFORE the levees broke? Remember when all those buses sat there, unused, and people partied in the dome? Remember when the governor of La said, No, we don't need any help? And Nagin, the mayor of New Orleans, partied in an upper floor of a fancy hotel while the city swam, denying Bush's request for help because he could handle it?
Now we are looking at a terrible oil disaster, and yet the only people, oddly, the dinosaur media can find to blame are oil companies, with the admonition that we shouldn't be drilling for oil (the underlying message being that we should all be peddling bikes?).
Now some facts are emerging about The One who is in charge right now. HE is the one who received the most campaign cash from BP, who seems to have hired out the problem of capping the gusher, even while they make more cash every day with the oil spill. Now some other facts are emerging, including the knowledge that the White House has had video of what's been going on for quite a while and covering it up. This is from Legal Insurrection:
What will it take for it to be His Katrina? Waddaya think, Brownie?
Verdict. Not His Katrina yet, because there was no cover-up:
White House Allowed BP to Keep Video of Gushing Pipe from Public for Three Weeks - "The White House allowed BP to hide its video feed of a gushing oil pipe in the Gulf of Mexico from the public for three weeks, all the while that same video played live in the White House Situation Room, ABC reports. This startling revelation comes just as Obama prepares to get really angry in public about the spill – just in time to cover up his administration’s collusion with BP to hide the true extent of the massive disaster in the Gulf."
